Vivian was born November 22, 1914 in Anderson County, Texas to Monroe and Cora Welch Brown. She married Jack Valentine on August 26, 1933. She retired as a dietician from Athens Memorial Hospital in 1977. Vivian was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church in Athens.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Valentine in 1983; one brother, Alton Brown; and two sisters, Julia Brown and Maggie Wardell.



Vivian is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Bill & Lou Valentine of Athens, and Larry and Nellie Valentine of Fairview, Missouri; six grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
