Brownsboro– Funeral Services for Susan Johnson, 52, of Brownsboro are scheduled for 2:30 P.M. Friday, August 8, 2014 at the New York Baptist Church in Larue, Texas with Pastor Donald Thomas officiating.

Mrs. Johnson went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 5, 2014 in Brownsboro, Texas.

Susan Jane Shaffer Johnson was born April 28, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Eugene Shaffer and Loevia House Shaffer. She was a faithful member of the Grace Baptist Church in Edom and was a Sunday school teacher. Susie was a very artistic who loved to paint and she was also a creative person who enjoyed sewing and making purses. She also enjoyed gardening. Her true love was her family. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them and making sure they all stayed together and in contact with one another. Susan had a huge heart, was selfless and was a loving wife, mother and sister who will be greatly missed by all she knew and loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Eugene Shaffer Jr. and her sister Lyla Warner.

She is survived by her loving husband Danny Johnson of Brownsboro; her only daughter Marissa Johnson of Brownsboro; four sisters, Debbie Thomas and husband Donald of Larue, Sandra Wilson and husband Gene of Murchison, Cynthia Shaffer of Goshen, Indiana, Elsie Ferguson and husband John of Granger, Indiana and two brothers, Aaron Warner and wife Linda of Altoona, Iowa and Aric Warner and wife Alma of Rosamond, California.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Family of Athens, Texas.
