Obituary for Doris Oleta Aaron (Riddlesperger)

Athens –Funeral services for Doris Aaron, 82, of Athens, Texas are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens with Bro. Joe Hall officiating. No graveside services.

Ms. Aaron passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015 in Athens.

Doris Oleta Riddlesperger Aaron was born October 14, 1932 in Athens, Texas the daughter of Foster Riddlesperger and Mattie Fade Riddlesperger. She was a member of the Willow Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and sewing in her earlier years. She loved to play 42 with friends, but her true love was her family. She always had a smile and a laugh. Mammaw was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by all she knew and loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Thomas Henry Palmer Jr. and Aubrey Aaron; a grandson Dusty Palmer; two sisters, Mabel Duley, Beulah Mae Lane and four brothers, Eugene Arthus, Joel Riddlesperger, Adrian Riddlesperger and Richard Riddlesperger.

She is survived by her loving children, Deborah O’Neal and husband Danny, Gary Palmer and wife Denise, Terry Palmer and wife Melanie, Marvin DeWayne Palmer Paulette Howard all of Athens; fourteen grandchildren, Eric O’Neal, Patrick O’Neal, Daniel O’Neal and wife Tori, Caysie Jenkins and husband Charlie, Colby Palmer, Larissa Stokely and husband Matt, Angela Jones and husband Tim, Chad Palmer, Buffy Pearce, Jason Palmer and wife Ashley, Stacie Warren, Laura Gillespie, Shelly Cowser, Jessica Grammar and husband Lars, numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M., Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens, Texas.
