Artie Miller Loftis was born November, 6, 1935 in Corsicana, Texas to Luther and Mary Loftis.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara; son Rickey Loftis, daughters Vickie Estep and Brenda Chaney.

Artie could accomplish anything he set his mind to. When he graduated high school he went to electrical trade school in Waco, Texas. He joined the IBEW Union Local 72 and was a member for more than 60 years. He worked as an electrician then started his contracting company building Cable TV systems all over the United States.
He and his wife Barbara were horse and cattle ranchers for many years. Later they opened a western store together called Cowboy Headquarters. Serving the community with western apparel. He was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association.
Artie was known by friends and family as someone with cowboy hospitality. He would welcome a traveler whether it was a cowboy and his horse, a welder and his rig, or a truck driver. That person would be invited into his and Barbara’s home, given a meal, a good night’s rest and sometimes even a little traveling money. Artie has left us to go on to be with the Lord for eternity.
He will be truly missed.
