Charles Thomas "Chuck"  Gullick
Mr. Gullick passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.

Charles Thomas Gullick, 91, of Athens, was born on July 27, 1925 in Tremont, Mississippi, son of Benjamin Gullick and Belle Williams Gullick. Charles was married to his beloved wife, Billie Ruth Knott Gullick for nearly 47 years and proudly served in the United States Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, waterskiing, and vegetable gardening. He enjoyed playing dominoes, taking pictures, traveling and he loved to listen to Gospel music. Charles, also known as “Papa Chuck” was a wonderful family man and loved spending time with his family. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lorie Dapp; brothers, B.F. Gullick, Travis Gullick, and James Gullick; sisters, Pearlie Goggins, Ruby McKnight, and Irene Williams; and grandchildren, Travis Gullick, Heather Stasney, and Jamie Converse.

He is survived by his wife Billie Gullick of Athens; children, Kevyn Pate and husband James of Athens, Lesa Owens and husband Tony of Athens, Hope Rehkop and husband Byron of Troup, Pat Koboshigawa and husband Bert of Henderson, NV, Diane Cottam and husband Donnie of Memphis, TN, and Danny Gullick and wife Kathy of Memphis, TN; brother Norman Gullick and wife Lucy of Fair Play, SC; sister Evelyn Caldwell of Murpheesboro, TN; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday, August 29, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will include Joe Warren, Bobby Knott, Eugene Rivers, John Becton, and Floyd Anderson.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Hospice of East Texas and his wonderful caregivers for their loving care.
