Allen went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 28, 2016.

Kenneth Allen Holcomb, JR., 63, of Athens, was born on August 7, 1953 in Dallas, TX son of Kenneth Allen Holcomb, SR. and Eunice Kathleen Costlow Holcomb. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. Allen, also known as PawPaw, loved his kids and spending time with his family whenever he could. He was a great family man who will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents; and granddaughter Morgan Carter.

He is survived by his mother Kathleen of Athens; daughters, Rena Laney of Palestine, and Natalie Horton and husband Robert of Athens; siblings, Rory K. “Joe” Holcomb and wife Beth of Canyon Lake, and Kim Feagins and husband Perry of Athens; 2 grandchildren, Ty Carter, and Mady Horton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at Carroll Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Morgan Clanton, Johnny Walker, Cary Costlow, Terry Costlow, Ty Carter, and Merle Bachelder.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Carroll Springs Cemetery Association, c/o Shelia Thornton, 361 A.C.R. 4591, Palestine, TX 75803.
