A Memorial Gathering for Terry Henderson will be held at 4:00 P.M., November 19, 2016 at his Man Cave/home near Athens.

He passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 in Flint, Texas.

He was born November 29, 1959 in Dallas, Texas the son of Rayburn Bankston Henderson and Virginia Dare Rushing Henderson. He graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School where he was the starting quarterback. After High School he worked with his father and then started his own construction company in Dallas before becoming a salesman for Silver Leaf Resorts. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to work and play outdoors. His favorite times were spent fishing and watching the sunsets with his best friends Polly and Rocky. Poppie/Pepaw was a proud member of the NRA and numerous other gun and hunting organizations. Terry was a simple man who always had a smile on his face and did everything he could to put one on everyone else’s face as well. He loved to cook and was famous for his beans. Terry was a loving, caring father who was proud of his children. Poppie/Pepaw was a true family man who loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all he knew and loved.

Terry was preceded in death by his father Rayburn Henderson.

He is survived by his loving wife Shelia Henderson of Athens; his two children, Kristi Rae Henderson of Combine, Blake Henderson and wife Cara of Kaufman; His mother Virginia Henderson of Athens; five siblings, Pam Anderson and husband Eddie, Marty Henderson and wife Pam, his twin Gary Henderson and wife Tracy, Kimberly Baker and husband Dillon, Thomas Henderson and wife Brenda; three grandchildren, Kaya Edwards, Jason Boykin, Izzy Boykin; the mother of his children Debra Carter and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
