Athens –Funeral Services for William Kearley, 74, of Athens are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Norm Taylor officiating.
Mr. Kearley passed away on January 3, 2017 in Athens.
William Byron Kearley was born March 3, 1942 in Royse City, Texas the son of Payton Roger Kearley and Lovie Beatrice Bright Kearley. He was a hunter who loved the outdoors. Bill was fascinated with the weather and loved watching the weather stations. His love was his family and he spent every waking hour taking care of them. He will be greatly missed by all he knew and loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Roger Eugene Kearley and sister Mae Beth Curtis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Vicki Kearley of Athens; his children, Spring Lackey and husband Alan of Dallas, Robin Denise Miles and husband Gary of Wylie; one brother Robert Kearley and wife Sue of Mabank; two grandchildren, Edward Lackey, Erin Bensinger and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
