Obituary for John Russell Smith
Funeral Services for John Smith, 36, of Malakoff are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the Faith Church of Athens with interment following at Athens Cemetery.
Mr. Smith passed away on February 5, 2017 in Tyler.
John Russell Smith was born January 23, 1981 in Corsicana, Texas the son of Caddo Smith Sr. and Lana Jane Lindley Smith. He was a member of the Athens Church of God and a very hard worker. John loved fishing and spending time outdoors. He was very talented at drawing and working crafts. He was a loving son and brother and will be greatly missed
He is survived by his parents, Caddo Sr. and Lana Smith of Malakoff; one brother Caddo Smith Jr. of Malakoff; a girlfriend Shannon Turner of Malakoff and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held from 7-9:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens.
