Athens – Graveside Services for Darvin Wilcox, 89, of Brownsboro are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 17, 2017 at Carroll Springs Cemetery near Athens and will be under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Darvin went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 13, 2017 in Athens.

Darvin L. Wilcox was born February 27, 1928 in Malakoff, Texas the son of Zepheniah Lafayette Wilcox and Julia Lloyd Wilcox. He served in the U.S. Army and was proud of his country. He spent many years working at his service stations and on his homestead. Work was all he knew. He was a devout member of the 1st Assembly of God Church in Brownsboro and loved reading his Bible. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Frances Wilcox, two brothers, one sister, two granddaughters and one great grandson.

He is survived by his three children, L.D. Wilcox and wife Catherine of Brownsboro, Dewayne Wilcox of Athens, Tina Moore and husband John of Brownsboro; six grandchildren, Candace, Krista, Michael, Stephen, Natasha, Andrew; twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., March 16, 2017 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens.
