Funeral Services for William “Bill” Rounsavall, 84, of LaRue are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens with Bro Robbie Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens.
Mr. Rounsavall passed away on June 14, 2017 in Malakoff.
William Arthur Rounsavall was born June 18, 1932 in Henderson County, Texas the son of William Homer Rounsavall and Myrtie May Ross Rounsavall. He married Evelyn June Fipps on June 28, 1952. Bill worked as a school teacher for the Corsicana Independent School District for over 30 years and enjoyed farming, gardening and especially spending time with his grandkids. Paw Paw was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather and will be missed by the many lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Dickie Rounsavall; sister Juanita Rounsavall Wallace; three brothers, Newlon, Harold and A.B. Rounsavall and one granddaughter Kaylynn Rounsavall.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Evelyn June Rounsavall of LaRue; four children, William David Rounsavall of Corsicana, Arthur Dennis Rounsavall and wife Debra of New Harmony, Dana Lynn Rounsavall and wife Cindy of Purdon, Danny Franklin Rounsavall of LaRue; one sister Mary Rounsavall Edwards of Larue; eight grandchildren, Gretchen Hollimon and husband Eric, Michael Rounsavall and wife Kari, Jennifer Palacios and husband Jose, Cody Rounsavall and wife Kevyn, D.J. Rounsavall and wife Amanda, Misty Ewing and husband James, Jeremy Rounsavall, Danny Kyle Rounsavall and wife Hollie and eighteen great grandchildren.
Serving as Pallbearers will be, Cody Rounsavall, Jose Palacios, D.J. Rounsavall, Michael Rounsavall, Jeremy Rounsavall, Danny Kyle Rounsavall, James Ewing and Eric Hollimon.
Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M. Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens.
