Graveside services for Robert Green, 54, of Athens are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens, Texas and will be under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Green passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 in Tyler.

Robert Melvin Green was born September 3, 1962 in Athens, Texas the son of James Green and June Tanner Green. He spent most of his time working on cars, lawnmowers, and doing home repairs. Robert had a love for the outdoors and being a part of nature. He was a loving son and brother that enjoyed doing things for his family and will be missed by all those he knew and loved.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother June Green of Athens; one brother, James Green and wife Cindy of Murchison; one sister, Pamela Dickey and husband Greg of Corsicana; and numerous aunts and uncles.
