Funeral Services for Susan Clanton, 60, of Palestine are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Bro. Scott Wylie officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery near Bradford.

Mrs. Clanton went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 14 in Ft. Worth.

Susan Renee Farr Clanton was born February 15, 1957 the daughter of Fred Harrison Farr and Effie Beatrice Johnson Farr. She worked for the Cayuga Independent School District as a teacher’s aide for many years and enjoyed playing bingo. Nana loved spending time with her family especially her grandbabies. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Susan is survived by her loving husband of forty-two years Bill Clanton of Palestine; one son Brad Lee Clanton and wife Vanessa of Beaumont; four siblings, Doug Farr and wife Winnie, Judy Corbell and husband Johnny, Joyce Gunn and husband Charlie, Patricia Crane and husband Ralph and three grandchildren, Tristyn Colt Clanton, Austyn Cade Clanton and Jordyn Cash Clanton.

Pallbearers will be Michael Johnston, Kent Ward, Jim Wells, Roy Starr, Bill Cole and Dustin Stibbins.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 6-8:00 P.M., at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
