Funeral services for Wiley “Bill” Allen, 82, of Malakoff will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at First Baptist Church Malakoff with Bro Jody Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Malakoff Cemetery.

Mr. Allen went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 21, 2018 in Malakoff.

Wiley Thomas Allen was born December 1, 1935 in Henderson County, Texas the son of Robert “Bob” Allen and Era Arrington Allen. He was a salesman for International Paper Company and retired after 42 years of service. Bill was a great musician who played every stringed instrument made except a fiddle. He played the pedal steel guitar in numerous country and gospel bands all over the metroplex. He was a dedicated member of First Baptist Malakoff and will be missed by all he knew and loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Henry Allen.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Darla Allen of Malakoff; two sons Tom Allen and husband Jeff Howard of Houston, Brian Allen and wife Leslie of Italy; one brother Rev. Jimmy Allen of Tyler; five grandchildren Brady Allen, Brandon Allen and wife Megan, Brittanye Stone and husband Jered, Demi Allen, Andi Allen, Gus Allen; five great-grandchildren, Mayce Allen, Jordan Cooper, Heaton Allen, Maibrye Stone, MacKaulye Stone and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held prior to the services on Wednesday from 12-1:30 P.M. at First Baptist Church Malakoff.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Family.
