Athens – Funeral services for Jesus Valencia, 65, of Athens will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Athens with Father Nolan Lowery officiating. Interment following at Athens Cemetery.
Mr. Valencia passed away April 30, 2018 in Dallas, Texas.
Jesus Valencia was born January 2, 1953 in Puebla, Mexico the son of Guadalupe Valencia and Eufrostina Rosales. Jesus was a retired landscaper and lived in Athens for over 30 years. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jesus Valencia Jr. and two brothers, Miguel Valencia and Cresencio Valencia.
Survivors include his wife Maria Valencia; four children, Carlos Valencia and wife Josefina, Marcos Valencia, Virginia De Los Santos and husband Hector, Laura P. Valencia; sister, Matilda Valencia and eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. with a Rosary 7:00 P.M. at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
