Athens- Memorial services for Agnes Carter, 93, of Malakoff are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Malakoff with Bro. Casey Perry officiating.

Ms. Carter went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 12, 2018 in Athens, Texas.

Agnes Alline Allen Carter was born February 8, 1925 in Jackson Chapel Community, Texas the daughter of Earl Ellison Allen and Beulah Mae Watkins Allen. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Malakoff where she loved her Sunday school classes. She was a homemaker in every sense of the word as she loved gardening for canning vegetables, planting flowers, cooking for family and making candy for Christmas. Mamaw was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother who will be missed by all she knew and loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Francis Ralph Carter Sr.; daughter Mary Lee Matthews; son Bo Carter; son-in-law Clyde Dalrymple; three brothers, Elvis Allen Sr., Ernest Allen, Alton Allen and two grandchildren.

Agnes is survived by her loving children, Charlotte Price and husband L.C of Weatherford, Gearld Carter and wife Becky of Athens, Sandy Dalrymple of Malakoff; two sisters, Virginia Cook of Athens, Blanche Trammell of Mesquite; one brother-in-law Buster Carter of Malakoff; three sisters-in-law, Inez Allen of Malakoff, Wanda Allen of Tyler, Francine Carter of Lufkin; thirteen grandchildren, Bubba and Sabrina Matthews, Christi and Jamie Dunklin, Cyndi Horton, Todd and Chris Price, Lacey and Chris Roberts, Michael and Patty Carter, Cooper and Katie Carter, Wade and Sandy Carter, Wes Carter, Wendy and Craig Arthus, Jason and Kristi Dalrymple, Alicia and Carlos Castro, Marta Dalrymple and Troy Engledow; 37 great grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Family.
