Our beloved Mother, Mary Etta Phillips Bogel, born August 26, 1922 in Lott, Falls Co. TX to Louis Edward Phillips and Mary Ella Mosley Phillips who both preceded her in death, passed away on March 19. 2017.
She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond E. Bogel and Sister Dorothy Mullins. She is survived by a brother Charles Ed Phillips, sons Philip R. Bogel II, wife Sara Ann Morehouse Bogel and Michael E. Bogel, wife Beverley Berry Bogel, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mary attended Texas Women’s College and Baylor University. Mary was active with the operations of Bogel Cotton Company for over twenty years. Our Mother is remembered as a guiding light as we grew up and always there when she was needed the most. Very seldom did she miss an opportunity to dance.
Hannigan Smith Funeral Home, Athens, Texas is handling the burial arrangements.
Family graveside services will be held at Waco Memorial Park on March 24, 2017, 2:00 pm.
