Obituary for Shane Everett Trammell

Shane Everett  Trammell
Shane Everett Trammell passed away after a brief stay in the hospital on August 6, 2017 in Tyler, TX. He was a husband, a son, a father, an avid musician, a fisherman, a businessman, and a great friend.
Shane was born to Bruce Everett Trammell and Josie Marie Estell on October 17, 1963 in Navarro County, Texas. He lived in Henderson County as a small child then returned to Henderson County at aged eleven. He attended Cross Roads and Athens schools and finished his schooling at Cross Roads.
Sales and management was Shane’s career of choice. He spent most of his business career working for Elliott Electric Supply. He was also a member of several bands, including Exit Only; and a partner in the disc jockey business; Timetrax.
Sports were also a passion of Shane’s. Beginning with his participation in the world cup of little league soccer championship and continuing through high school football and track and field. As an adult, he coached his sons and others in youth league sports. He also enjoyed golfing with business colleagues and friends.
Fishing was a family pastime, beginning with fishing with his father as a young man and continuing the tradition with his own children. He enjoyed the comradery of fishing with friends. He most recently spent two months on the Texas coast salt water fishing daily.
Shane was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Dustin Trammell. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Terri Lynne Booker Trammell; son Aaron Trammell and wife Amanda Trammell of Hudson Oaks, TX.
A graveside service will be held on August 9, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Rome Cemetery near Athens, TX and under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
